Register to Vote if You Live in the United States Virgin Islands

You may apply using this form if you:
- are deemed to belong to the Virgin Islands under section 2(2) of the Virgin Islands Constitution;
- are 18 years of age or older;
- are domiciled in the Virgin Islands but currently reside in the United States Virgin Islands; and
- are not disqualified from being registered as a voter under the laws of the Virgin Islands.

You will need to provide:
- your full name;
- your current address in the United States Virgin Islands;
- your occupation;
- your last place of residence in the Virgin Islands; and
- supporting documentation for your application.
Supporting documents
The application form allows you to provide:
- a birth certificate;
- a certificate of naturalisation; or
- another supporting document relevant to your eligibility.
If you are unsure which document to provide, contact the Office of the Supervisor of Elections before submitting your application.
Complete the declaration
As part of your application, you must make a declaration confirming that, on the qualifying date:
- you were domiciled in the Virgin Islands but resident in the United States Virgin Islands; and
- you were not disqualified from being registered as a voter under the laws of the Virgin Islands.
The qualifying date must be entered on the application form.
Have your application witnessed
Your declaration must be signed before an authorised witness.
The witness must be one of the following:
- Judge;
- Justice of the Peace;
- Notary Public;
- British Consular Officer;
- President or senior officer of the University of the Virgin Islands; or
- Bank Manager.
Do not sign the declaration until you are before the person who will witness it.

- Download and complete Form No. 7 – Application and Oath of Person Resident in the United States Virgin Islands.
- Provide your current USVI address and your last place of residence in the Virgin Islands.
- Attach the supporting documentation for your application.
- Complete the declaration on the form.
- Sign the declaration before an authorised witness.
- Submit the completed application and supporting documents to the Office of the Supervisor of Elections.
