The VI Government invites tenders for the execution of road rehabilitation works

The Government of the Virgin Islands invites tenders for the execution of road rehabilitation works at Lomer Bay, Tortola. 

The project comprise demolition, excavation, drainage works, culvert construction, road pavement construction, traffic management, and associated utility coordination.

The proposed works also provides all plant, labour, equipment and materials and performing all operations in connection with construction of 2600 linear feet of road pavement including slipper drains, curb walls and drainage.  Excavation and backfilling works to roads, drainage and retaining walls. Traffic management and control facilitating works for all utilities as necessary.       

The Tender to be prepared by the tenderer shall comprise the following documents, as applicable and as specified in the tender documents and the tender data sheetwhich includes form of tender, priced bill of quantities, a list of projects undertaken by the tenderer within the past 10.  A list of current contract commitments and work in progress, as well as an organisational chart showing the tenderer’s management structure.

Interested persons will still be required to provide a detailed work programme and method statement showing the sequence in which the works are to be executed.  Tenderers will be expected to provide proof that the company or individual is in good standing with respect to taxes.

Where applicable, Tenderers registered as companies in the British Virgin Islands shall submit a certificate of good standing and certificate of incorporation from the Commercial Registry.

Failure on the part of tenderers to enclose the supporting documentation indicated above with each respective tender will render the tender non-responsive on the date of the opening of tenders.

Tender documents will be available upon request to procurement@gov.vg with the subject title “Road Rehabilitation at Lormer Road” Tenderers are advised that the destination mailbox is NOT automated to send tenderers a dated and time acknowledgement of receipt and delivery of their message. 

A virtual pre-tender meeting is scheduled for  Thursday 12th February, 2026 at 10:00 am local time. All prospective tenderers will be notified of the access code and password prior to the meeting. The pre-tender meeting is not mandatory; however, it is recommended that each Tenderer attend.
