The Government of the Virgin Islands (GOVI) acting through the Ministry of Finance (MOF), is accepting sealed bids for the sale of the following derelict vehicles on "AS IS WHERE IS" basis. (See Appendix 1)

  1. Persons interested in purchasing of any of these vehicles may inspect them on any working day between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the respective locations where they are housed.
  2. Quotation/s should be addressed and delivered to:

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

 

in a sealed envelope no later than 10:00 am on Tuesday, 28th July, 2025.

Each bid should include the registration number, make/model, serial number. Year, and the department to which the vehicle belongs. The envelope should be clearly marked in Bold Capital letters "Quotation for Derelict Vehicle".    Interested persons are encouraged to inspect the condition of the vehicles before submitting a bid. All Bids must be signed and must include the bidders full name, address and a valid telephone number. The vehicle will be awarded to the highest bidder. If the highest bidder fails to honor the bid, the award will be cancelled and offered to the next highest bidder. Late bids will not be accepted.

  1. Upon receipt of an award letter, the successful bidder must make payments to The Accountant General within seven (7) working days. The award letter should be presented at the time payment is made.
  2. After payment has been made, the original receipt issued by the Accountant General must be presented to the Procurement Unit so that a copy can be placed on file.
  3. The release of the sold vehicle will be arranged only after the successful bidder present the award letter and an official receipt from the Accountant General as proof of payment.
  4. The successful bidder must remove the purchased vehicle within 48 hours of the sale at their own expenses. No assistance with transportation or removal will be provided by The Government of the Virgin Islands. Government will not be responsible for any vehicle not removed within the specified period.
  5. Unsuccessful bidders will be notified accordingly.
