Organisation:
Motorists encouraged to stay safe on roads
Minister for Communications and Works, Kye Rymer, is urging all motorists to exercise extreme caution as inclement weather continues to affect road conditions across the Territory.
With periods of heavy rainfall impacting visibility and increasing the risk of debris and hazardous driving conditions, motorists are strongly encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel and proceed with care if they must be on the road.
The Public Works Department is actively monitoring roadways across all islands. Crews remain on standby to respond to any issues, including debris clearance and drainage concerns.
Motorists are reminded to remain alert, reduce speed, and prioritize safety at all times.
