About the Examinations
The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) is the regional examining body that develops and administers standardized exams for secondary and post-secondary students across the Caribbean.
- CSEC (Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate):
Typically taken by students at the end of secondary school, CSEC examinations assess core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Sciences, and other disciplines. Successful completion is comparable to the high school diploma level. - CAPE (Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination):
CAPE is designed for students pursuing further studies after completing CSEC. It provides certification for tertiary entrance and covers more advanced, specialized subjects.
