The Government of the Virgin Islands, through the Ministry of Health and Social Development, is inviting tenders from locally based automobile dealers for the supply of a vehicle for His Majesty’s Prison (HMP), Balsam Ghut, Tortola.

This procurement forms part of the Government’s continued efforts to strengthen operational support and logistics within the correctional system. The vehicle will be used to support transportation and operational needs at His Majesty’s Prison, contributing to improved efficiency and service delivery.

The tender is open to all eligible local automobile dealers and includes the supply of a 2025–2026 model, high roof passenger vehicle with seating capacity for 13 to 15 persons. The vehicle must meet the technical specifications outlined by the Ministry, including automatic or six speed manual transmission, rear wheel drive or better, and key safety and operational features such as dual airbags, anti-lock braking system, backup camera, parking sensors, Bluetooth connectivity, and power windows.

Interested tenderers are required to submit a completed Form of Tender and Technical Specification, along with valid Certificates of Good Standing from the Social Security Board, National Health Insurance, and the Inland Revenue Department, as well as a valid trade licence.

Tenders must be submitted in hard copy to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health and Social Development, at Voronica’s House of Commerce, Road Town, Tortola. All submissions must be clearly marked “Supply of a Vehicle for His Majesty’s Prison, Balsam Ghut, Tortola, Virgin Islands.”

The deadline for submission is 10:00 a.m. on March 3, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.

The Ministry encourages all qualified local automobile dealers to participate in this transparent and competitive bidding process, which is being conducted in accordance with the laws of the Virgin Islands and Government procurement guidelines.
