The Department of Disaster Management would like to remind the Virgin Islands public that the earthquake drill ShakeOut takes place Thursday, October 16 at 10:16 a.m.

Emergency sirens will NOT be activated, however, test messages will be disseminated via the DDM App and WhatsApp Channel, and participating local broadcasters will air exercise messages. 

Individuals, families, schools, businesses and Government offices will be practising their earthquake safety response procedures, and some may carry out a tsunami evacuation as part of the exercise. Please drive with caution.
