The Social Development Department is advising the public of the current operational status of Community Centres throughout the Territory and reminding persons of the procedures required to book and utilise these facilities.

The following Community Centres are currently open and available for use:

• Cane Garden Bay Community Centre
• East End/Long Look Community Centre
• Emile Dunlop Community Centre, Anegada
• George W. Christopher Community Centre, Brewer’s Bay
• Long Trench Community Centre
• Valerie O. Thomas Community Centre, Sea Cow Bay
• The Catherine and Gertrude Warner Community Centre in Purcell Estate is presently closed for repairs.
• The West End Community Centre is available for limited use. At this time, the kitchen is unavailable. Please also note that where the facility is used on Mondays and Wednesdays, such use is restricted to evening hours only; all other days remain unaffected.

The Department is also informing the public that all persons wishing to use a Community Centre are required to complete a Community Centre Request Application Form and submit a refundable cleaning deposit of $50. Applications must also be accompanied by a valid government-issued identification card.

Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) and persons hosting free community events are additionally required to submit:

• A valid NPO certificate
• A letter outlining the community enrichment aspect of the event or initiative
• Supporting promotional materials, such as flyers, where applicable 

Once applications are submitted, the Department will review each request and advise applicants of any applicable fees, as well as any rules, conditions, or limitations associated with the requested facility.
