The public is advised that the Consolidated Index of Virgin Islands Legislation has been updated to include all legislation in force as of 1st January, 2026. This update incorporates all legislative changes made since the publication of the previous Index as at 1 January 2025.

Attorney General Honourable Dawn J. Smith said, “The release of the updated Index is in keeping with the Law Revision and Accessibility of Laws project’s goal of publishing a Consolidated Index for the Virgin Islands on an annual basis, ensuring that legal practitioners, public officers, researchers, and members of the public have access to accurate and current legislative information.”

The updated Index is available on the Virgin Islands legislation website at laws.gov.vg and may be downloaded and printed free of cost.

The Attorney General added, “Members of the public are encouraged to visit the website to access the updated Consolidated Index and other legislative resources.”

The Consolidated Index is a guide to finding the laws of the Virgin Islands. It enables users to quickly locate current and amended laws. Set out alphabetically, it organises Acts and their related subsidiary legislation such as regulations, rules, and orders, to save time and improve efficiency in legal research.”
